You Will Need:

a) 1/2 cup uncooked rice
b) 2 cups water

a) Firstly, wash the rice with a cup of water to remove any dirt or impurities.
b) Immerse the rice of any variety for 15 to 30 minutes.
b) Strain out the water rice in a bowl and transfer it all over your hair scalp and hairs.
c) Now massage it for a few minutes.
d) Finally, rinse it with water.
e) You can use mild shampoo if needed.
f) Use this hair mask twice a week.

Tip 2: Fermented Rice Water

Fermented rice water is good for hairs due to the PH change in it during the process. During this process, it releases a chemical compound known as ‘Pitera’ which stimulates regeneration of cells.

a) Once you have stored your rice water, keep it undisturbed at a room temperature for one day or till it turns slightly sour.
b) The fermentation process takes all around 2 to 3 days. It depends on how hot the water is. Just remember, warmer the water, the speedier is the process.

a) To reduce the fermentation time, just keep the rice in water and strain it once it begins to ferment and just keep it covered for 12 to 24 hours.

b) Boil or not to boil the fermented rice water?

Well, it is advised to boil it, but few people just avoid doing it. Since everyone’s hairs are different, and you can try out both the methods so that you can select which approach is the best for you.

c) It is essential that you dilute the fermented rice water before using on hairs as it is compelling. Use more for dry hairs and minimal for the oily hairs.

Tip 3: Boiled Rice Water

a) Boil the rice using more water as you usually do.
b) One it gets boiled, just extract out the extra water and collect it in a container.

d) Finally, keep it in a fridge, and you can use it up to a week.
e) Shake this water before use.

Note: It has high concentration so dilute it with water till it gets little cloudy.

How To Use Plain Or Fermented Rice Water For Hairs?

a) Pour down the rice water on the hairs after shampooing off.
b) Now gently massage over your scalp and leave it for 4 to 5 minutes. (You can keep up to 20 minutes).
c) Finally, rinse it off using plain water.
d) Use this rice water mask once or twice a week as a hair rinse.

a) Add some drops of essential oils like as lavender, chamomile or rosemary for extra nourishment to hairs.

b) Use this water along with natural clarifiers like as green tea, apple juice, lime peel powder, lime juice, etc. for making it shiny and softer. For this just add one tablespoon of rice in one cup of water. Rice water along with green tea helps in fighting hair loss.
